BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The 900 Global Wolverine shows up in a striking navy/aqua look and relies on proven technology. The symmetrical Lacerate 2.0 core combines elements of 900 Global's most successful cores, with the upper portion coming from the Honey Badger and the lower portion from the Badger core. With a 2.54 RG and a 0.053 differential at 15 pounds, the ball sits in the medium range. The S70 Pearl Reactive surface comes polished to 1500 grit out of the box and should deliver enormous flip off the backend.
Comparison
Many bowlers compare the Wolverine to the Storm HyRoad, with the Wolverine said to be more controllable and more predictable, since it reads earlier and doesn't slide past the breakpoint. In the lineup the ball sits between a Storm HyRoad Pearl and a 900 Global Zen — it offers more length and pop than the HyRoad Pearl, but isn't as strong and as round as the Zen. In test comparisons against the Storm Spectre, the Wolverine showed more backend motion. It bridges the gap between balls like the Zen and a HyRoad Pearl, or serves as a sideways alternative to a Hustle Wine or Electrify.
On the Lanes
The Wolverine offers the biggest backend in the 900 Global lineup on medium conditions and is ideal if you want to move inside and open up your angles. The ball is extremely clean with a medium response time and shines when friction is available. The medium coverstock strength makes it playable for many bowlers on standard house patterns, while if you throw the ball at higher speed you can use it as a step down during transition. It is particularly effective on broken-down patterns and later in tournament blocks, when bowlers have to move left. The surface was developed specifically to combat dry heads and tighter backends.
