First Impressions
The Storm Fight arrives in a striking two-tone red and purple solid color combination. At the heart of this model sits the bulky symmetric Iron Cross Core, which stands out with an extremely high RG of 2.620 and a strong differential of 0.043. The cover is the proven R4S Solid Reactive coverstock, finished at the factory with 3000 grit Abralon. The unusually high RG makes the core rotate very late, while the rough shell should keep the ball gliding extremely stable through the heads and deliver a very smooth, controllable reaction.
Comparison
Compared to the Storm IQ Tour Solid, which has a very low RG, the Fight delivers noticeably more length down the boards and reacts much rounder and more arcing at the breakpoint. Next to the Storm Phaze II, the Fight produces a far tamer, steadier motion without any real kick in the backend. Once the transition sets in and the front part of the lane dries up, the Fight benefits from its enormously high RG. It ignores friction better than most solid balls and translates its energy into a flat, gentle drive to the pocket.
On the Lanes
The Storm Fight finds its preferred territory on medium lane conditions and flat sport patterns. It's the logical choice if you're looking for absolutely predictable ball motion without having to worry about overreaction. The arcing hook helps you play direct angles and maintain control. The ball should secure carry through a continuous, heavy roll phase. On heavily oiled, long lanes, however, the core lacks the dynamics needed to turn into the pins in time.
