BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Wild Streak Tour/U presents itself as an interesting special case in Roto Grip's HP3 line. The Tour/U version uses a special Tour-ethane cover developed as a more modern interpretation of classic urethane chemistry. With a 2.60 RG and a 0.048 differential in 15 pounds, the ball presents a unique combination in the current market landscape. The Mutated Rotary core is designed as a higher-RG symmetric weight block that allows for more length and a later reaction. Noteworthy is the two-piece construction without filler material, similar to the Storm Hy-Road, which should have a positive effect on pin action.
Comparison
Compared to the Roto Grip Idol balls with their 2.54 RG and 0.49 differential, the main difference lies in the Wild Streak's longer travel down the lane. The shape of the motion resembles the Roto Grip MVP, though it shows a slightly earlier hook and stronger backend behavior. The Storm Allroad proved to be the stronger ball overall, while the Wild Streak, despite its surface, reacts more like a medium-weak ball. The Wild Streak's strength lies in release manipulation, while the Allroad offers more versatility in terms of playable area. On tougher conditions, the length it provides allows a straighter game from the right, where other strong balls react immediately in the dry.
On the Lanes
The Tour/U version is designed specifically for light to medium/light oil conditions, which is an important distinction from the regular version. On sport patterns the ball performed excellently, while on house shots it is more demanding to handle because of its release sensitivity. Ideal if you want to play straighter with stronger balls or if you have trouble getting strong balls to travel down the lane. The ball dominates when lane reaction is strong and should deliver more control on the backend. As a tournament ball with gap-filling characteristics in your arsenal, it offers a unique option for demanding conditions.
