The Hammer Viral Solid stands out with its striking, solid Dark Blue design. Inside works the legendary symmetric Vibe core with a 2.510 RG and a moderate 0.042 differential. For the cover, Hammer relies on the proven Violent Flip Solid coverstock, finished out of the box at 500 and 2000 Abralon. These specs should ensure that, despite the medium RG, the ball skids safely through the heads thanks to the roughed-up surface and aims for a very strong, predictable benchmark reaction. The cover provides perfect hold for a smooth roll phase.
Comparison
In a direct comparison with the Hammer Viral Hybrid, the Viral Solid shows noticeably more stable ball motion, delivers drastically more traction in oil and a much smoother, rounder reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Phaze II, the slightly lower differential gives the Viral Solid a marginally weaker but comparably steady hook. When the transition changes the lane and dry spots appear, the rough surface of the Viral Solid keeps the ball from overreacting uncontrollably at the breakpoint. It reacts with bite, but is absolutely forgiving.

The Hammer Viral Solid is most at home on medium lane conditions. It's an excellent option if you're looking for strong, predictable ball motion on fresh oil. The symmetric core creates a strong but round angle at the breakpoint, which builds confidence when playing straighter lines. The ball should keep your carry secure through its consistent entry into the pocket. On very dried-up patterns, however, it burns up its energy relatively quickly.
