BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The 900Global Vengeance marks a significant technological step forward within the 900 series and positions itself as one of the strongest symmetrical options the manufacturer has ever brought to market. Visually, the ball comes in a dark, no-nonsense "Coal/Ash/Smoke" color scheme whose matte finish immediately signals that this ball was built for traction and for working in oil. Technically, this is backed up by the introduction of the new "Blast A.I. core." This symmetrical weight block shows very aggressive numbers with a 2.47 RG and a 0.055 differential (at 15 lbs), which should get the core revving up early. This high-torque engine is paired with the "RB 91 Solid Reactive" coverstock. That chemical formulation is designed to ensure rapid oil absorption and to increase friction values on the lane massively. With a factory 2000-grit Abralon finish, the Vengeance suggests even before the first shot that it has no fear of high oil volume and is meant to close the gap between typical benchmark balls and high-performance asymmetrics.
Comparison
Within the 900Global product family, the Vengeance takes a clear leading role in the segment of symmetrical balls for heavy oil. While balls like the "Cove" (hybrid) or the "Ember" (pearl) are designed more for the later stages of a block or for more moderate conditions, the Vengeance acts as the "big brother" that opens up the lane. Compared directly to well-known benchmarks, it is noticeably earlier and rounder than, for example, a "Zen Gold Label." It offers more overall hook than most of the brand's symmetrical predecessors, but differs in character from asymmetrical balls such as the "Eternity Pi" or products like Roto Grip's "Gem." Where asymmetrical cores often make a very defined, at times abrupt change of direction at the breakpoint, the Vengeance uses its high differential for a continuous, arcing motion. It reads the heads more aggressively than a Storm "Phaze II," but offers a similarly confidence-inspiring predictability on the backend. That makes it the ideal complement if an asymmetrical ball reacts too sharply "off the spot" for you, but you still can't do without the necessary torque in oil.
On the Lanes
The ideal application for the 900Global Vengeance is clearly lanes with high oil volume. Its greatest strength lies in controlling the transition. On fresh house shots or sport patterns where the backends are still very aggressive ("crisp"), the Vengeance serves to control the pocket by taking the edge off and avoiding overreaction. Thanks to the low RG value, the ball rolls up early and stabilizes quickly, which allows you to keep your speed up even with a lot of oil on the lane without the ball skidding through the breakpoint ("blow through"). If you throw the ball fast ("speed dominant"), the rough 2000 surface provides the traction needed to get the ball working in time. If you have a lot of rotation ("rev dominant"), you'll appreciate that the symmetrical core does not "jump" uncontrollably despite the aggressive cover as soon as it hits dry boards. The Vengeance should be the first ball out of the bag to read the oil and establish a line. Once the heads get too dry and the ball loses too much energy ("burn out"), switching to shinier options like the "Zen" or "Ember" would be the logical next step. In summary, the Vengeance is a "tank" for heavy oil that combines hook potential with the classic predictability of a symmetrical core.
