BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The DV8 Vandal comes in a striking Blue and Black asymmetric pearl/solid mix. At its center sits the massive asymmetric Vandal Low RG Core, which carries a 2.499 RG, a huge 0.055 differential and a 0.011 intermediate differential. This core is wrapped in the extremely strong Composite Pearl coverstock, finished with 500 Siaair and Royal Compound. The medium RG lets the core rotate reliably, which in combination with the smooth cover should make the ball rev up strongly and produce a huge asymmetric move in the backend.
Comparison
Compared directly to the DV8 Vandal Smash, which uses a rough solid cover, the Vandal shows a drastically later and far more angular reaction in the dry area. Compared to the Storm Snap Lock, the Vandal behaves extremely similarly, but thanks to the slightly weaker intermediate value it often offers an even more consistent change of direction at the breakpoint. Once the transition sets in during the game and friction on the outside boards increases, the cover uses that dry area aggressively.
On the Lanes
The DV8 Vandal was developed specifically for use on medium to heavy lane conditions. It allows you to generate the hook needed to cross the boards deep, even when the oil has been played in. The asymmetric core should optimize carry through a steady, massive entry angle into the pocket. For extremely dry conditions, however, this ball is overqualified; it burns up its energy too sharply and reaches the pins weakly.
