First Impressions
The Storm Universal Gravity stands out as an international release in a deep hybrid look. At the center of this model beats the asymmetric Shape-Lock HD motor, which features a low 2.480 RG, a strong 0.052 differential and a 0.020 intermediate differential. The outer layer consists of a high-performance Hybrid Reactive coverstock that comes lightly polished out of the box. This combination of the enormously strong asymmetric motor and the smooth hybrid cover should let the ball glide cleanly through the heads and deliver a very strong, asymmetric roll phase.

Comparison
Compared to the original Storm Zero Gravity, which has a pure solid cover, the Universal Gravity grabs noticeably later thanks to its hybrid content and the polish, and offers a considerably more angular reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Crux Pearl, the Universal Gravity produces a somewhat more continuous but still extremely hard-hitting motion. As soon as the transition sets in and the front part of the lane dries up, it benefits enormously from its hybrid cover. It needs friction to release its dynamics.

On the Lanes
The Storm Universal Gravity finds its preferred home on medium to heavy lane conditions. It's the perfect choice if you need a ball on broken-down patterns that slides easily through the heads and creates a continuous hook toward the pocket. The strong reaction helps you avoid missing the breakpoint. The ball should maximize carry with a powerful drive. On extremely heavy oil, however, this ball can sometimes skid a bit too long.
