BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Storm Ultimate Motor is a high-performance release from the summer of 2026, originally designed for the international market, which expands the highly praised Motor series with a powerful model. Visually, the ball is presented in a striking color combination of midnight blue, black, and white. At the center of this asymmetrical bowling ball works the advanced Torque A.I. Core, which features an RG of 2.48 and a high differential of 0.052 at a weight of 15 pounds. An intermediate differential of 0.017 underlines the strong asymmetry of the core. This engine is surrounded by the aggressive N2X Solid Reactive coverstock, which comes from the factory with a matte 2000-grit Abralon finish. This combination aims to generate maximum traction in the oil while optimizing the rotational properties of the core. The technical parameters guarantee an extremely dynamic ball motion that is designed for a high flare potential and maximum impact.
Comparative Analysis In a direct comparison with the popular Storm Phaze II, which is known for its smooth and extremely controllable reaction, the Ultimate Motor acts significantly more dynamically due to its asymmetrical Torque A.I. Core and generates a much more pronounced angle at the breakpoint. While the Phaze II shows a more flowing shape through the midlane as a classic benchmark ball, the Ultimate Motor delivers higher torque and a sharper change of direction. Comparing it within its own series to the Storm Motor Rev, which uses a polished pearl cover, the Ultimate Motor reads the front of the lane significantly earlier. The matte N2X Solid cover ensures that the ball responds much sooner in the oil and builds up a steadier motion, rather than reacting late at the backend like the pearl version.
Practical Application The Storm Ultimate Motor is specifically designed for lane conditions with medium to heavy oil volumes and fresh oil patterns. Thanks to the matte N2X Solid cover combined with the powerful asymmetrical core, the ball finds Friction extremely reliably in the midlane area without losing its energy prematurely. Bowler types who play a deep line across the boards and rely on a strong Hook benefit from the high stability of this ball in heavy oil conditions. The design of the A.I. core is also intended to ensure that the ball drives into the pocket with maximum power, thereby significantly increasing Carry. However, as the oil is depleted during the competition and the Transition sets in, the grippy surface of the Ultimate Motor will often lead to an early reaction, which is why a ball change to weaker covers is advised in this situation.
