First Impressions
The 900 Global Truth comes in an appealing color combination of black, orange and purple. Inside, the Adaptor/C Symmetric core works with a 2.530 RG and a 0.038 differential. For the cover, the ball relies on the S74R Solid coverstock, finished out of the box with 4000 Abralon. This combination of a controlled core and a strong, matte surface should ensure that the ball builds traction reliably in the midlane. The makeup of the cover supports a very predictable energy release, which allows the ball to serve as a classic benchmark.
Comparison In a direct comparison with the 900 Global Special Ops, the Truth shows noticeably more bite in the heads and a considerably rounder hook. While the Special Ops was designed to move through the boards easily, the solid cover of the Truth grabs perceptibly earlier. Against the Storm Phaze II, the Truth offers a somewhat tamer change of direction at the breakpoint due to its slightly lower differential. Once the lane transition sets in, the Truth could lose a bit too much energy early compared to weaker pearl models.
On the Lanes The 900 Global Truth performs best on lane conditions with medium oil volume. Thanks to its dependable read of the lane, it gives you the option to play a clear line across the boards without the ball making unexpected jumps into the pocket. On controlled shots, the ball stores enough energy to produce a solid and even hit. The result is consistent carry. If friction in the midlane increases too much, however, it's time to switch to a polished model.
