BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The 900 Global Truth Pearl was released in January 2017 as a high-performance addition to the Prime 800 series. Visually, the ball stands out with a three-color design in Carbon, Blue and Ruby. Inside works the Adaptor/C Symmetric Core, which in the 15-pound version shows a low RG of 2.48 along with a high differential of 0.055. These specs point to an early-revving but very powerful roll. The cover is the S74R Pearl Reactive, finished out of the box at 1500-grit polish. This combination should allow a clean skid phase through the heads, while the strong core provides a high flare potential of over five to six inches in order to release the stored energy effectively at the breakpoint.
Comparison Within the market, the 900 Global Truth Pearl can be placed as a direct rival to other strong pearl balls of that era. Compared to the Storm Phaze II, which as a solid version reacts noticeably earlier and more evenly, the Truth Pearl offers a much more pronounced skid-flip character. It skids noticeably longer through the front part of the lane and creates a more angular hook at the end of the oil pattern. Compared to the Roto Grip Idol Pearl, the Truth Pearl shows more overall motion and a greater degree of backend reaction thanks to its more aggressive differential. While a Storm IQ Tour Pearl is better known for its controlled arc shape, the Truth Pearl aims at maximum angle to the pin deck, which makes it a more aggressive option if you are looking for more motion at the breakpoint.
On the Lanes The 900 Global Truth Pearl finds its ideal use on medium to slightly heavier oil conditions, once the first transition sets in. Thanks to the polished pearl cover, the ball should get through the heads without trouble, even when the oil in the midlane is already slightly used up. The performance traits especially benefit you if you throw at moderate to high speed and need a clear change of direction at the breakpoint to optimize carry. In scenarios where dull solid balls lose energy too early and hit flat in the pocket, the Truth Pearl should generate the length needed to react with a steeper entry angle. That makes it an excellent choice for the transition over the course of a tournament or for typical house shots, when the outside boards already offer friction and a deeper line over the inside boards becomes necessary.
