BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
With the True Blood, Hammer brings a fascinating new development to market that impresses above all with its exceptional length and late reaction. Inside works the dynamic First Blood Symmetric core, which with a 2.54 RG and a 0.048 differential ensures very clean motion through the front part of the lane. The Polyester Clear / Pearl cover is specifically tuned to store the ball's energy extremely efficiently. The nature of the surface with a polished finish supports this trait massively by letting the ball glide effortlessly through the heads without building friction early. Visually the ball is a real eye-catcher and immediately conveys that this model was designed primarily for later and sharper direction changes. The technical match between core and cover is extremely harmonious and purposeful here.
Comparison
Comparing the True Blood with the Ebonite Maxim, the glaring differences in backend reaction stand out immediately. The Ebonite Maxim tends to read a bit earlier, while the True Blood holds its energy a decisive fraction longer and then reacts noticeably more aggressively to the dry area. This trait makes it the perfect complement in your arsenal when the Maxim starts losing energy into the pocket or entering too flat. Although both balls are aimed at lighter oil patterns, the True Blood offers a noticeably more dynamic angle. It is the ideal solution for situations in which the Maxim no longer develops enough drive, since it generates the necessary entry angle.
On the Lanes
This ball shows its greatest strength once the lane has already been played in a bit and the transition has clearly set in. It needs a certain amount of friction in the backend to develop its characteristic hook, which provides maximum, explosive carry. When the boards in the front part of the lane dry up, the ball lets you systematically move further inside and attack the pocket from a much deeper angle. It works excellently on medium to dry conditions and is an excellent choice if you're looking for a clean, quick-reacting surface. Thanks to its forgiving nature on shots missed to the outside, it should keep your scores stable at a very high level even in the late stages of a tournament.
