First Impressions
The Storm Triple Crux presents itself as a rare Asian release in a striking hybrid look. The heart of this model is the asymmetric Catalyst Core, which features a 2.500 RG, a massive 0.052 differential and a 0.017 intermediate differential. The cover is a highly modified Hybrid Reactive shell, polished to a high gloss out of the box. The core design generates a huge amount of asymmetry, while the hybrid cover should make the ball read extremely late in the heads and turn over brutally in the backend.

Comparison
Compared to the Storm Alpha Crux, the Triple Crux gets into the midlane dramatically later thanks to its polished cover and offers a far more angular, asymmetric change of direction at the breakpoint. Next to the Storm Snap Lock, the Triple Crux delivers a very similar, powerful and extremely hard-hitting motion at the end of the pattern. Once the transition sets in and the front part of the lane dries up, the hybrid cover of the Triple Crux makes ideal use of the friction that develops to carry its enormous dynamics into the backend.

On the Lanes
The Storm Triple Crux is at its best on medium to heavily oiled lane conditions. It is the logical choice if you need a ball on patterns with enough oil in the heads that still creates a massive hook. The extremely quick reaction helps you play steep angles into the pocket. The ball should maximize carry through its brutal asymmetric drive. On bone-dry lanes, however, this ball is far too aggressive.
