BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Radical Trail Blazer arrives in an elegant Emerald/White/Black color combination and represents the latest innovation out of Mo Pinel's idea workshop. The Trail Blazer features a new design concept that Mo had been working on for a few years, combined with an asymmetric core structure with an RG of 2.484", a differential of 0.052" and an intermediate differential of 0.020". At its heart is the new hybrid MOtion Magic coverstock, an impressive new formula that provides sufficient traction through the oil along with enough energy retention for great backend motion. Brunswick's DynamiCore technology delivers less compression at impact and increases hitting power as well as pin carry. The factory surface of 500/1000/1500 SiaAir plus Crown Factory Compound gives the ball its characteristic performance.
Comparison
Compared to the Radical Payback, the Trail Blazer shows clearly cleaner and more angular characteristics on fresh lane conditions, which allows you to play more flexibly — whether with straighter lines or by opening up the angles more aggressively. Compared to the Radical Incognito Pearl it offers more midlane traction, while against the Radical Results Plus it develops more downlane motion. The MOtion Magic cover creates Radical's largest lane footprint to date, which shows up on the lanes in improved predictability and control. The combination of a strong asymmetric core and a hybrid coverstock positions the Trail Blazer as a more versatile package than traditional solid reactive balls in the same category.
On the Lanes
The Trail Blazer shapes up as the ideal first ball out of the bag for heavy lane conditions and is officially recommended for heavy oil. Its versatility shows especially on medium oil patterns, where it still provides enough shape through lane transition. If you're a power player, you'll benefit from the very strong and continuous midlane roll characteristics, while the ball keeps working downlane even when it contacts friction earlier, churning through the oil. Despite considerable backend motion, the Trail Blazer offers high predictability and controls the breakpoint effectively on wet/dry conditions. The high flare potential of 6"+ (high) makes it particularly suited if you need maximum lane coverage and aggressive hook development. The beauty of this ball is that it provides length without sacrificing predictability on the backend.
