First Impressions
The Ebonite Titan Angular One, released in December 2025 as a special international release, carries on the legacy of the legendary Angular One series with the latest technology. Visually, the ball comes in a classy, understated Black Stone design. Inside works the powerful, asymmetric Iron Core. At the 14-pound reference weight, this asymmetric weight block delivers a low RG of 2.480, a high differential of 0.053 and a pronounced mass bias of 0.019. These core specs produce extremely dynamic rotation, maximum flare potential and a quick rev-up in the middle third of the lane. The core is wrapped in the ultra-modern HK22C - XL8900 Plus Pearl Reactive cover. The surface is sanded at the factory with 500, 1000 and 1500 Siaair micropads and then finished with Crown Factory Compound. This combination of the extremely reactive HK22C base material and the smooth polish should ensure that the ball glides effortlessly through the heads and stores the rotational energy it has built up for an extremely sharp, dynamic change of direction at the breakpoint.
Comparison
To illustrate the aggressive ball motion of the Ebonite Titan Angular One, a direct comparison with other established models is useful. Placed next to a classic benchmark ball like the Storm Phaze II, the Titan Angular One shows a completely different reaction profile: while the symmetrical Phaze II with its dull solid cover reads the lane early and creates a steady, controlled arcing move to the pocket, the Titan Angular One glides considerably longer through the oil in the heads thanks to its smooth pearl surface and reacts far more explosively and more angularly to the friction it encounters in the backend. Compared to another asymmetric ball from the same house, such as the Ebonite The One Remix with its dull solid cover, the Titan Angular One offers noticeably more length and a much sharper reaction in the back part of the lane. Against a typical symmetrical pearl ball like the Brunswick Melee Jab Carbon, the Titan Angular One generates considerably more asymmetry through its strong asymmetric Iron Core, and therefore a higher overall hook potential, which allows it to come back to the pin deck reliably and with plenty of power even from steeper angles.
On the Lanes
The Ebonite Titan Angular One is primarily designed for house shots and sport lane conditions with medium to heavy oil volume. Its strongly asymmetric design is aimed specifically at situations where the ball has to be carried extremely cleanly through broken-down or dry front sections in order to then generate maximum hook in the backend. If your high rev rate has you opening up the lane and playing deep inside lines, this ball is an outstanding tool. The asymmetric core in combination with the reactive HK22C cover helps keep the ball from losing energy despite the long trip out over the outside boards, so that it drives into the pocket with a steep entry angle, which significantly improves carry and minimizes leaves. When transition sets in over the course of a tournament or league night and the front sections of the lane dry up noticeably, the polished pearl surface prevents the ball from grabbing too early in the heads. At the same time, the ball starts to rotate very hard in the dry backend friction without losing any of its drive. That keeps the Titan Angular One an extremely potent option across multiple games for any bowler who prefers a pronounced, sharp reaction on the lane and needs maximum room for error in the backend.
