BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Track Tactix Hybrid in its eye-catching Purple Pearl/Purple color scheme immediately stands out with its attractive design. Technically, Track relies on the proven asymmetric Starship core with a 2.49 RG (15lb) and a 0.051 differential. The cover is the QR-9 Hybrid Cover, shipped with a 500/1000 Abralon base and factory finish polish. This hybrid formulation uses a proven base that was already employed on the Track Paradox. The medium mass bias strength of the asymmetric core should deliver stronger direction changes compared to symmetric designs.
Comparison
Compared to the Storm Phaze III, considered one of the strongest symmetric hybrid reactions, the Tactix Hybrid shows a controlled but less aggressive angular reaction. While premium hybrids often react earlier, the Tactix Hybrid offers considerably more length to the breakpoint. Against the original Track Tactix with its more solid QR-9 formulation, the hybrid version is cleaner through the heads and more powerful off the backend. As a representative of the mid-price hybrids, it offers a balanced ball reaction without the extreme characteristics of higher-priced competitors.
On the Lanes
The Tactix Hybrid is designed specifically for medium oil volumes and should provide additional backend power for better pin action. In practice it proves very accessible on house shots for a variety of player types. If you're a stroker or a tweener, you'll benefit especially from its versatility, while power players may need more adjustments. Its strength lies in the versatility to play different angles on medium lane conditions. The ball motion is angular but not excessively quick off the dry, which allows for good carry performance. On sport patterns the out-of-the-box setup can be challenging, but surface modifications open up options to adapt.
