BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
Released in November 2018 as a limited edition, the Motiv T10 marks the brand's tenth anniversary and reaches deep into its own history to do it: it brings back the symmetrical Thrust core that was used in the very first Motiv ball (TX1). With a 2.54 RG and a 0.052 differential (at 15 lbs), this core delivers a medium to high flare potential. That classic centerpiece is paired with the modern Coercion MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive coverstock. The factory finish of 3000 grit LSS (Laser Scan Sanded) gives the solid black ball a matte look that suggests traction right away. The design goal was to create a controllable yet powerful motion that works as a benchmark piece in the bag.
Comparison
Compared directly to the legendary Motiv Venom Shock, the T10 often looks a bit longer and more defined in the backend. Where the Venom Shock is known for its extremely early, round arc, the T10 stores energy a tick longer thanks to the Thrust core and releases it with a slightly sharper angle at the end of the oil pattern. Looking outside the brand, the motion strongly recalls a Storm Phaze II, though with a shade more length and a somewhat quicker response to friction. It doesn't roll as early as a pure "traction" ball for heavy oil, but it offers noticeably more traction through the midlane than typical pearl balls. Performance-wise it sits right in the sweet spot: stronger than an entry-level performance ball, but more controllable than the aggressive high-end asymmetrics.
On the Lanes
The Motiv T10 LE is the definition of a "benchmark ball." Its ideal territory is fresh house shots or medium sport patterns, where you want to read the lane without risking immediate overreaction. It shines especially when you have to manage friction outside: the ball reads the midlane reliably without burning up all of its energy there, and it provides a continuous, strong arc in the backend (continuous motion). For tournament bowlers it is often the first ball out of the bag to check the conditions. It takes surface adjustments extremely well; with a bit of polish it becomes even more versatile on dried-up lanes, while in its original state (3000 grit) it is perfect for smoothing out the transition from wet oil to dry boards.
