First Impressions
The Storm Sync Tour stands out as an international release with a classy, controllable solid look. Inside works the extremely strong asymmetric G2+ core with a 2.470 RG, a massive 0.058 differential and a 0.028 intermediate differential. For the surface, Storm relies on a matte solid reactive cover. This combination of the enormous asymmetric core and the tacky cover should ensure that the ball dominates the heads and puts all of its energy into a massive, asymmetric move in deep oil.
Comparison
Compared directly to the regular Storm Sync, the Sync Tour behaves extremely similarly in the heads, but offers a slightly smoother, steadier backend motion thanks to minor modifications to the cover. Against the Storm Zero Gravity, the Sync Tour delivers far stronger flare development due to its enormously high differential, but builds up a similarly powerful hook at the breakpoint thanks to its massive engine. When friction on the lane is high and transition dries up the front part of the lane, the Sync Tour loses energy quickly.
On the Lanes
The Storm Sync Tour is best suited to lane conditions with extreme oil volume. For strokers and if you throw the ball fast, it offers the option of playing direct lines, since the cover generates massive traction while the asymmetric core provides the powerful backend response. The enormous drive toward the pocket should deliver convincing carry. On dried-up lanes, however, this ball is too aggressive because of the matte finish. It's a weapon for heavy volume.
