BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
With the Spirit II, Columbia 300 brings a fascinating new development to market that impresses above all with its exceptional length and late reaction. Inside works the dynamic Spirit Core, which with a 2.56 RG and a 0.038 differential ensures a very clean motion through the front sections of the lane. The pearl reactive cover is specifically tuned to store the ball's energy extremely efficiently. The nature of the surface with its polished finish supports this characteristic massively by letting the ball glide effortlessly through the heads without building friction early. Visually the ball is a real eye-catcher and immediately conveys that this model was designed primarily for later and sharper changes of direction. The technical match between core and cover is extremely harmonious and purposeful here.
Comparison
Comparing the Spirit II to the Storm Hy-Road Pearl, the glaring differences in backend reaction stand out immediately. The Storm Hy-Road Pearl tends to read a little earlier, while the Spirit II holds its energy a decisive fraction longer and then responds noticeably more aggressively to the dry area. That characteristic makes it the perfect complement in your arsenal when the Hy-Road Pearl starts to lose energy in the pocket or enters too flat. Although both balls are aimed at lighter oil patterns, the Spirit II offers a noticeably more dynamic angle. It is the ideal solution for situations in which the Hy-Road Pearl no longer generates enough drive, because it creates the necessary entry angle.
On the Lanes
This ball shows its greatest strength once the lane has been played in a bit and the transition has clearly set in. It needs a certain amount of friction on the backend to develop its characteristic hook, which produces maximum, explosive carry. As the boards in the front part of the lane dry up, the ball allows you to move systematically further inside and attack the pocket from a much deeper angle. It works excellently on medium to dry conditions and is an excellent choice if you're looking for a clean, responsive surface. Thanks to its forgiving nature on misses to the outside, it should keep your scores stable at a very high level even in the late stages of a tournament.
