First Impressions
The Radical Snapshot shows up in an eye-catching color combination of orange, scarlet and silver with a striking logo design. Released on January 16, 2025, this ball features a newly developed Super Symmetric core with a 2.523 RG and a 0.050 differential in the 15-pound version. That core is wrapped in the innovative HK22C+ Pearl coverstock technology, which is equipped with the special Cohesion additive – a friction-enhancing ingredient that makes the ball especially responsive to friction. The HK22C+ technology uses an advanced "nano-micellular phase separation" that dramatically improves the transparency of the coverstock and delivers optimal color brilliance. The surface arrives with a factory finish of 500, 1000, 1500 Siaair with an additional factory compound treatment. Beyond that, the Snapshot integrates DynamiCore technology – a more durable outer core material that compresses less on impact, thereby developing more hitting power and providing both an unmistakable sound and improved pin carry.

Comparison
Within Radical's lineup, the Snapshot positions itself as a considerably stronger ball than you would traditionally expect from a symmetric model. Compared to other balls such as the Widow or the No Doubt, it shows an earlier and stronger reaction on the lane. Some testers were surprised and described it as "super symmetric" with "all the characteristics of an asymmetric ball," particularly after drilling, when the differential values increase. Compared to the Hammer Anger, the Snapshot offers an earlier read and a more rolling motion, while the Anger runs somewhat smoother and "more buttery" down the lane. The reaction is reminiscent of models with Cohesion technology, which are known for their explosive move at the breakpoint. For bowlers who already have the Ricochet or Primal Rage in their collection, the Snapshot slots into a similar performance range, though with the characteristic earlier read and strong midlane presence.

On the Lanes
The Radical Snapshot doesn't reach its full potential out by the edge of the lane, but rather when you give it room to open up. It calls for a left-to-right line and is ideal for medium-heavy to heavy oil volumes. Its strength isn't at the start of a block on freshly oiled lanes, but as a transition ball once the lanes begin to break down and a move inside becomes necessary. Despite its glossy surface, the Snapshot shows a surprisingly early and strong reaction with impressive midlane continuity. That characteristic makes it especially valuable in situations where a quick switch from solid balls to something with more control is needed, but not to a significantly weaker ball. If you have a higher rev rate and medium to high ball speed, it gives you the ability to create steep angles and generate powerful pin action. The ball works excellently on lanes with significant oil volume and older backends that aren't overly reactive. In environments with too much friction, the ball can tend to read too early and give up at the breakpoint. The Snapshot performs best on shorter angles and more controlled lines, while still offering enough backend reaction to produce impressive pin action. With its unique balance of early read and continuity through the midlane, the Radical Snapshot increases the versatility of any ball collection and delivers performance that exceeds most symmetric balls in its class.
