The Swag Show Me The Money makes an impression right away with its striking black-and-gold color scheme, typical of strong premium pieces. The ball uses the asymmetric Contagion V2 core in combination with the Dazzler 2 Solid coverstock. The specs show a 2.51 RG, a .053 differential and a .023 mass bias at 15 pounds. The factory surface is 3000 grit Abralon, which should provide an early read on the boards. Swag markets it as a strong solid ball that should deliver a wide arc for heavy oil conditions.
Comparison
The Show Me The Money turns out to be a very strong, early-reading and smooth-rolling ball with heavy forward roll. It is the Swag version of the Legends By Lane Masters Athena, though noticeably tamer than the Athena. Compared to the Storm Phaze II, the Show Me The Money shows a balanced reaction with an early read and a smooth transition from skid through hook to roll. It is not quite as forward as other strong asymmetrics, which gives it more versatility. Its very forward roll makes it look like it drives straight through the pins.
On the Lanes
The Show Me The Money is designed for heavy conditions and suits bowlers who face those conditions often. At flatter angles you can make the most of the heavy forward roll through the pins for very high carry percentages. The launch angles have to be chosen carefully — it is too strong for extremely direct lines, but also too early for very big angles, with the usable angle depending on your rev rate. It works on a variety of patterns, from house shot to sport and challenge patterns. Despite its strength it allows tight angles and still has enough energy to destroy the pocket. It loves oil, reads smoothly and is very predictable when it comes to controlling the pocket.
