First Impressions
The Brunswick Ringer Royal Blue Solid draws every eye with its classy Blue Solid design. At the center sits the symmetrical Ringer Core, which comes with a high 2.566 RG and a moderate 0.038 differential. This core is wrapped in a sanded solid reactive coverstock finished at 2000 Siaair. The high RG makes the core rotate extremely late, which in combination with the dull cover should keep the ball moving through the heads under control while producing a steady, sharp move in the backend.

Comparison
Compared directly to typical strong solid balls, the Ringer Solid shows a drastically longer skid phase and a far more arcing reaction at the breakpoint. Compared to the Brunswick Ringer Pearl, the solid behaves far more stably in oil. When the transition sets in over the course of a session, the solid cover stores energy ideally without starting to flip uncontrollably. It is enormously strong on dry lanes and offers control.

On the Lanes
The Brunswick Ringer Royal Blue Solid was developed for use on light lane conditions. It allows you to generate the hook needed to cross boards effectively even on dried-up conditions. The symmetrical core should optimize carry through a steady entry angle into the pocket. On extremely heavily oiled conditions, however, this ball is often too weak; it doesn't use up its energy properly in the heads.
