First Impressions
The Radical Revenge Pearl arrives in an eye-catching green and carbon color combination that takes on a distinctive translucence through the HK22 Pearl coverstock. That optical quality is not purely a design feature: HK22 technology uses an engineered nano-microcellular phase separation technology that specifically improves the cover's light transmission. Inside works the Sneak Attack Symmetric — a symmetric core already known from the Radical Sneak Attack, whose proven geometry Radical has now carried over into the new Revenge line. For the 15-pound ball, the RG is 2.544 and the differential 0.036, placing it in the category of medium RG values with a comparatively low differential. The factory surface is produced through a multi-step process with 500, 1000 and 1500 Siaair Micro Pads plus a final Crown Factory Compound. The package is rounded out by Brunswick's DynamiCore outer core technology, which according to the manufacturer should increase hitting power through reduced compression at pin impact and promote improved carry. Radical classifies the Revenge Pearl in the EZ-Use segment, which covers medium-strength performance balls at a moderate price point. Since the ball does not release until April 16, 2026, no concrete retail prices are available yet for the European market; based on its placement in the EZ-Use segment, it should land in the lower to middle price range for reactive balls.
Comparison
The most direct connection is to the Radical Sneak Attack, whose core the Revenge Pearl adopts entirely. The essential difference lies in the coverstock: while the Sneak Attack came in various versions with MTH-1 or MTS-1 covers, the Revenge Pearl uses the more modern HK22 Pearl Reactive, which per the manufacturer should deliver a cleaner motion through the heads and a sharper transition in the backend. Within the Revenge line, the Pearl is positioned more clearly for drier to medium lane conditions than its sister model, the Radical Revenge Solid, which builds more traction with the HK22 Solid cover and starts the hook phase earlier. The Pearl should therefore skid longer through the heads and react more sharply farther down the lane. Compared to the Brunswick Rhino, another widely used entry- and mid-performance ball with a polyester-like reactive cover, the Revenge Pearl should show a more pronounced backend hook, since the HK22 Pearl responds more sensitively to friction. Against the Track Kinetic Sapphire Ice, which is also built on an HK22-based cover (called Prime Response Pearl there) and uses a different core, the Revenge Pearl could show a smoother, more predictable motion under similar lane conditions, since the Sneak Attack core has a lower differential and therefore generates less flare. Balls from comparable segments of other manufacturers, such as the Storm Tropical Surge or the Motiv Venom Shock Pearl, play in a similar price range but rely on different coverstocks and core geometries that often produce more aggressive reactions. The Revenge Pearl should establish itself here as the more controlled option.
On the Lanes
The Radical Revenge Pearl is designed primarily for dry to medium oil conditions. The polished factory finish should encourage a clean, skidding motion through the heads before the ball responds to friction in the transition zone and makes a controlled arc to the pocket. That character makes it particularly interesting if you're looking for clear length through the heads and prefer a readable, predictable backend reaction. If you have a lower rev rate and medium to high ball speed, the Revenge Pearl could be a very controllable option thanks to its comparatively moderate hook potential (flare potential: 3–4 inches). If you have a higher rev rate, you'll likely push the ball to its limits quickly on heavier patterns; a surface adjustment would make sense there. Sanding it to 2000 grit noticeably reduces length and increases the hook arc, which could broaden its range of use on medium to slightly heavy oil patterns — the factory finish, though, appears on first impression to show the ball's more natural playing character. In an arsenal context, the Revenge Pearl positions itself as a complementary ball for stretches when the lane has oiled down, or as a first ball out of the bag on simpler house patterns. For serious league and tournament players it should serve more as a supplementary tool for late in the set or on lighter patterns, while beginners and recreational bowlers can use it as an easily manageable all-around ball. Radical positions the entire Revenge line as a long-term part of the EZ-Use lineup, which should ensure availability and parts support over an extended period.
