First Impressions
The Radical Reax Gusto stands out with an extremely bright Purple and Silver Pearl look. Inside works the asymmetric Reax Core, characterized by a 2.498 RG, a strong 0.054 differential and a high intermediate differential. For the cover, Radical relies on a Pearl Reactive coverstock that comes extremely highly polished out of the box. These specs should make the ball get into a roll extremely late and skid safely through the heads on dry lanes. The cover and the core provide the perfect mix of maximum asymmetry and a brutal snap in the backend.

Comparison
In a direct comparison with the Radical Reax Solid, the Gusto shows very similar ball motion, but the pearl cover gives it noticeably less flare development in oil and a sharper reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Snap Lock, the Gusto offers a comparably late, biting hook thanks to its asymmetric design. When the transition changes the lane and dry spots appear, the extremely smooth surface immediately conserves its energy and releases it aggressively.

On the Lanes
The Radical Reax Gusto is most at home on medium lane conditions. It is an excellent option if you're looking for clean and late ball motion once the lanes have dried up. The asymmetric core creates a strong angle in the dry, which builds confidence when playing wider lines. The ball should secure carry through its biting entry into the pocket. On wetter patterns, however, it slides through and doesn't burn up.
