First Impressions
The 900 Global Reality Incursion, released in September 2025, adds an aggressive hybrid option to the dominant Reality line. Visually, the ball comes in a military-looking combination of camouflage colors. At its heart remains the proven Disturbance Asymmetric core, which with a low 2.49 RG and a high 0.052 differential (at 15 lbs) stands for extremely early rev-up and massive midlane presence. This core is wrapped in the S84 Response Hybrid coverstock. Unlike the original Reality (solid) or the Altered Reality (pearl), the Incursion uses a blend that comes with a 4000-grit Abralon finish out of the box. This configuration aims to bridge the gap between maximum traction and the length that's needed.
Comparison
Compared directly to the 900 Global Harsh Reality, the Reality Incursion moves visibly cleaner through the heads. Where the Harsh Reality (solid) acts like a snowplow and digs into the oil extremely early, the Incursion's hybrid cover allows an easier passage through the heads and saves more energy for the back part of the lane. Next to the 900 Global Reality Check, the Incursion is overall stronger and more aggressive; it covers more boards and responds more quickly to friction once it leaves the pattern. Compared to the Storm Eternity Pi, the Incursion offers a somewhat earlier and heavier roll phase thanks to the Disturbance core, making it feel more stable in oil.
On the Lanes
The Reality Incursion is the ideal choice for heavy to medium oil conditions. It shines especially in the situation where a pure solid ball like the Harsh Reality starts to burn up energy too early and arrives "flat" at the pin deck. Thanks to the hybrid cover, the Incursion glides across heads that have already been played, but the strong asymmetric core provides enough braking in the midlane to keep it from sliding through. It generates a powerful, continuous hook into the pocket and is an excellent fit if you like to keep the ball in the oil but need a more defined kick on the backend than a pure solid gives you.
