First Impressions
The Radical Rack Attack Pearl arrives in an extremely bright Cherry and Black Pearl color combination. The heart of this model is the modified symmetrical Rack Attack Core, which stands out with a high 2.550 RG and a low 0.024 differential. The cover is the tacky yet polished Pearl Reactive coverstock, brought to a high gloss out of the box. The high RG lets the core rev up very late, while the smooth cover should keep the ball gliding extremely safely through the heads and preserving its energy.
Comparison
Compared to the Radical Rack Attack Solid, the pearl version grabs extremely late and offers a considerably more agile, more angular reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Tropical Breeze, the Rack Attack Pearl produces a very similar, moderate motion on dry lanes with a somewhat more defined hook at the end. Once the transition sets in and the front part of the lane dries up completely, this ball is extremely effective. It uses the late friction to react powerfully.
On the Lanes
The Radical Rack Attack Pearl finds its preferred use on dried-up lane conditions. It is the perfect choice if you need a ball on burnt patterns that slides easily through the heads and generates a steady hook toward the pocket. The late reaction helps keep the breakpoint from being reached too early. The ball should secure carry through a clean entry angle. On fresh oil, however, this ball is not suitable.
