BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Brunswick Quantum Evo Solid comes in a striking color combination of blue, lime and royal. Technically, the ball is built around the QCS-12 core with a 2.502 RG and a 0.048 differential (15 lb). The core is a further development of the traditional mushroom design and was newly engineered as the Quantum Core System (QCS-12). The unique modified mushroom shape with integrated channels on the top side allows the DynamiCore2 material to promote better durability, hitting power and adhesion. The system is wrapped in the Evolution Solid Reactive coverstock with a factory surface of 500/1500 Siaair Micro Pad. The release date was October 22, 2021.
Comparison
The Quantum Evo Solid positions itself as the strongest ball in Brunswick's current lineup and was designed specifically for the heaviest lane conditions. Compared to the Quantum Evo Pearl, it has a lower RG and a smaller differential, with the QCS-12 core versus the QCS-24 core in the Pearl. The hybrid version uses a QCS-18 core with a lower RG and a higher differential than the solid. Compared to the older Brunswick Quantum Bias, the Evo Solid comes in at a noticeably lower RG. Users often compare it to the Storm Polaris, with the Evo Solid reacting somewhat earlier but showing less backend motion than the Polaris.
On the Lanes
The Quantum Evo Solid is a very strong, continuous ball that prefers high oil volumes and downright eats up oil thanks to its aggressive surface. The dull, abrasive Evolution Reactive surface digs into the oil effortlessly in testing, making it an excellent option for heavy oil volumes and longer patterns. If you have a lower rev rate in particular, you'll benefit from its ability to work through longer patterns and keep them in play. On sport patterns, the ball is especially suited to high oil volume in the front end with shorter overall patterns, or to longer patterns with medium to high volume. Despite the early hook, the ball should retain enough energy for the backend and also lets defensive players move inside while still covering a considerable amount of boards. According to Brunswick, it suits players with lower rev rates or oilier conditions, since it responds earlier on the lane.
