First Impressions
The Storm !Q Tour Nano Limited comes as a special edition in an extremely menacing black solid color blend. At the heart of this model beats the proven symmetrical C³ Centripetal Control core, which carries a low 2.490 RG and a very low 0.029 differential. The outer layer consists of the extremely high-traction NRG Solid Reactive coverstock, dulled at the factory with 4000 grit Abralon. This combination of an extremely controlled core and the massive nano surface should make the ball grab extremely early and deliver a huge, heavy, strongly rolling roll phase.
Comparison
Compared to the Storm IQ Tour Solid, the Nano Limited offers noticeably more early traction and a far more arcing reaction in heavy oil, since the nano cover provides more microscopic bite. Against the Storm Phaze II, the Nano Limited delivers similarly massive midlane control, though with marginally less backend snap due to the extremely low differential. When friction on the lane increases and the transition dries out the front part of the lane, this ball reacts extremely sensitively and burns up energy immediately.
On the Lanes
The Storm !Q Tour Nano Limited is ideally suited to lane conditions with extreme oil volume and to short sport patterns. For strokers and tweeners it offers the option of playing direct lines on freshly oiled patterns, since the surface finds immense hold in the heads. The steady drive toward the pocket should deliver convincing carry, as the ball rolls extremely heavy through the pin deck. Once the lane dries up, however, the ball can hit flat. In those moments a smoother cover is advisable.
