First Impressions
The AMF Pure shows up in a bold color combination of Black and Silver Pearl. The heart of this model is the asymmetric CFT Core, which stands out with a low 2.480 RG and a strong 0.051 differential. The cover is the tacky yet polished F73 Pearl Reactive coverstock, finished with a high gloss out of the box. The low RG lets the core rev up very quickly, while the smooth cover should keep the ball gliding very safely through the heads and only building real traction in the backend.

Comparison
Compared to the AMF Unreal, which uses a solid cover, the Pure grabs noticeably later and offers a much more angular, snappier reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Code Black, the Pure generates a hard-hitting asymmetric motion that snaps aggressively toward the pins at the breakpoint. Once the transition sets in and the front part of the lane dries up, the Pure benefits from its pearl cover. It needs friction at the breakpoint to show off its huge dynamics.

On the Lanes
The AMF Pure is at its best on medium lane conditions. It's the perfect choice if you need a ball on broken-down patterns that slides easily through the heads and creates an aggressive hook toward the pocket. The late reaction helps keep you from missing the breakpoint. The ball should maximize carry through its asymmetric drive. On extremely heavy oil, however, this ball is often too slippery.
