BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The SWAG Pure Fantasy catches the eye with its combination of blue and purple, giving it a calm yet distinctive presence on the lane. Inside works the proven symmetrical Mushroom core, which at 15 lbs delivers a low 2.486 RG and a medium 0.044 differential. These core numbers produce an early, stable revving up and controlled rotation. The special feature is the surface prep: although the shell uses the Reverie 3 (RVR 3) pearl reactive material, the ball does not come polished out of the box but with a 3000-grit sanded finish. This "sanded pearl" approach gives the ball a unique feel — it feels tacky to the touch and immediately signals that it was built not for maximum skid but for smoothing traction.
Comparison
Compared directly to the SWAG Fantasy Star, which uses the same Mushroom core but is polished, the Pure Fantasy reads the lane noticeably earlier and responds more smoothly at the breakpoint. Where the Fantasy Star often shows a snappy backend reaction, the Pure Fantasy comes across as more controlled and filters out overreaction. On the broader market, its philosophy resembles the Storm !Q Tour (solid) in terms of control, but the pearl shell gives it a bit more length and energy retention. It is less aggressive in overall hook than a SWAG Big Bro Jacked, yet offers more bite in oil than typical entry-level pearls such as the Brunswick Rhino. You could see it as the link between a strong solid ball and a shiny pearl ball.
On the Lanes
The SWAG Pure Fantasy is an excellent benchmark ball for medium oil conditions. Thanks to the 3000-grit finish on the pearl shell, it is ideally suited to taking the edge off wet/dry conditions (heavy oil in the middle, dry outside). It doesn't skid too far when it hits the oil, but it also doesn't bite too aggressively when it runs into dry boards. That makes it a first choice for tournament players who want to read the oil pattern without taking risks. It works especially well as the first ball out of the bag on fresh house patterns, since it offers a defined line and is more forgiving of speed mistakes than high-gloss polished balls, which often react more sensitively.
