The Pearl Reactive cover is specifically tuned to store the ball's energy extremely efficiently. Comparing the Pulse to the Storm Hy-Road Pearl, the glaring differences in backend reaction stand out immediately. The Storm Hy-Road Pearl tends to read a bit earlier, while the Pulse holds its energy a decisive fraction longer and then responds noticeably more aggressively to the dry area. That quality makes it the perfect complement in your arsenal when the Hy-Road Pearl starts losing energy in the pocket or entering too flat. Although both balls have a similar orientation toward lighter oil patterns, the Pulse offers a noticeably more dynamic angle.
