BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Track Proof in its black-and-gray look features a Prime Response Solid Reactive coverstock finished with a 500/2000 SiaAir Micro Pad surface. At its heart sits the asymmetric Proof core with an RG of 2.519 and a differential of 0.052 in 15-pound balls. Track markets this ball as its new upper mid-performance release with possibly the strongest core numbers ever found in this category. The Proof also makes use of DynamiCore technology, an innovation in outer core technology from Brunswick Bowling Products. It should provide less compression on impact and thereby increase driving power as well as create an unmistakable difference in sound and pin carry.
Comparison
Track balls have traditionally been characterized by a somewhat more pronounced hook-stop shape, with sharper transitions. The Proof is very similar to earlier Track balls such as the Tactix, but noticeably stronger, while still remaining in the mid-performance line. The Proof shows that aggressive hook-stop shape coming from a large asymmetric core. Compared to the Track Strata, the Proof has a higher RG and a higher differential, while the Prime Response cover runs cleaner through the heads and is less aggressive than the Strata's QR-11 solid shell. The Proof series has proven to be versatile, with different versions developed for different lane conditions.
On the Lanes
The Track Proof is best suited to medium to heavy oil conditions and should provide strong midlane motion along with continuous follow-through. The ball is surprising in how long it stays usable and doesn't seem to want to give up despite the strong combination of core, cover and surface finish. Bowlers should look for oil to get a more continuous motion. The Proof shows itself to be a versatile piece that has proven itself on house shots as well as on challenge and sport conditions. Paired with the new asymmetric Proof core, players can expect strong midlane motion that continues through the pin deck. Because of that continuous motion, the ball is particularly suited to players who need a reliable and predictable reaction on oily lanes.
