The Whiplash Pearl Reactive cover is specifically tuned to store the ball's energy extremely efficiently. The character of the surface with a 1500 grit LSP finish supports this property massively by letting the ball glide effortlessly through the heads without building friction early. Visually the ball is a real eye-catcher and immediately conveys that this model was designed primarily for later and sharper changes of direction. Comparing the Primal Rage with the Storm Phaze III, the glaring differences in backend reaction stand out immediately. The Storm Phaze III tends to read a bit earlier, while the Primal Rage holds its energy a decisive fraction longer and then reacts noticeably more aggressively to the dry area. That property makes it the perfect complement in your arsenal when the Phaze III starts to lose energy in the pocket or enters too flat. Although both balls have a similar orientation toward lighter oil patterns, the Primal Rage offers a noticeably more dynamic angle.
