BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Track Precision Pearl — often simply thought of as the "Precision Red" because of its dominant red, gold and black color scheme — is a visual highlight on the lane. Technically, this ball builds on the platform of the Precision Solid, but it has been tuned for a completely different reaction. Inside works the unique Precision SD Asymmetric core. This core is defined by a low 2.49 RG, a high 0.054 differential and a strong 0.020 intermediate differential. Those numbers guarantee massive torque and a quick rev-up. The cover is the Prime Pearl coverstock, sanded at the factory with 500/1000 Abralon and then brought to a high gloss with Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish. This combination lets the ball glide through the heads extremely easily, while the strong core waits to ignite at the end of the pattern.
Comparison
The natural comparison is the Track Precision Solid. While the solid version (blue/orange) is known for reading early and creating a rounder motion in oil, the Precision Pearl is the exact opposite: it offers considerably more length and reacts much more aggressively and more angularly at the breakpoint. Drawing a comparison to the almost simultaneously released Hammer Black Widow Pink, both balls play in the same league of "asymmetric pearl monsters." Because of its slightly lower RG (2.49 vs. 2.50 on the Widow), the Precision Pearl often seems to get into its rotation a tick earlier, but it offers a similarly explosive skid/flip reaction. Compared to a symmetrical pearl ball like the Track Kinetic Amethyst, the Precision Pearl is clearly stronger in overall hook and covers more boards.
On the Lanes
The Track Precision Pearl is made for medium to heavy oil conditions where the heads have already given up some oil or are clean. It is the ideal choice for the transition phase: when dull balls start to roll out too early and lose energy, the Precision Pearl lets you move farther inside and open up the angle. Thanks to the polish it ignores dry heads, while the strong asymmetric core makes sure the ball turns hard at the end of the pattern instead of sliding. It generates plenty of entry angle into the pocket and provides excellent carry as long as there are dry boards on the backend for it to push off of (friction).
