The Storm PhysiX Power Elite Blue presents itself as an elegant variant of the popular PhysiX Power Elite series in a striking blue color scheme. The ball uses the proven Atomic Core with a 2.48 RG and a 0.017 differential in 15-pound balls. The coverstock is NeX Pearl Reactive with a factory-polished 1500-grit surface. With its high flare potential of 6 inches and more, the ball shows its aggressive intent even at a glance. As a special detail, the ball gives off a peppermint scent that sets it apart from the other variants in the PhysiX family.
Comparison
The NeX Pearl Reactive cover should read noticeably earlier than the conventional NRG cover, providing 11% more entry angle and 9.6% more hook after 50 shots without sacrificing backend reaction. The Power Elite Blue is meant to take the place of the AstroPhysiX when the lane needs to be opened up and strong backend motion is required. The Atomic Core, with its extremely center-heavy design, drives the RG low and lets the ball move dangerously while the bowler needs less energy at the release. Compared to the Storm Sure Lock, the Power Elite Blue offers more length thanks to its pearl surface, while against the Storm Code X it shows a more continuous motion through the pins.

The polished NeX Pearl coverstock makes the ball ideal for medium to heavy oil volumes, offering enough length for weaker players while still driving powerfully into the pocket. Hook strength and sharpness are pronounced, which opens up a variety of angles of attack — from wide lines to tighter paths. Even if you throw the ball at slower speed, you should get a good feel and very powerful pin action. The ball is especially suited to tournament players looking for a controlled yet aggressive ball for fresh lane conditions.
