BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Storm PhysiX Grandeur, released in November 2025, extends the prestigious PhysiX line with a visually striking pearl version in "Emerald/Gold/Black." At the heart of the ball spins the proven asymmetric Atomic Core, which delivers enormous dynamics with a low 2.48 RG, a high 0.053 differential, and a strong 0.017 intermediate differential (at 15 lbs). This core is wrapped in the NeX Pearl Reactive coverstock (Nano Extreme). The combination is polished with Reacta Gloss at the factory, which suggests that despite the aggressive nano chemistry, the ball should glide very cleanly through the heads and save its energy for an explosive reaction at the breakpoint.
Comparison
Compared directly to the Storm Infinite PhysiX, which used the ReX Pearl shell, the PhysiX Grandeur reads the midlane slightly earlier thanks to the NeX base, but the polish gives it a similarly sharp move down lane. Overall it comes across as more traction-oriented than the legendary Astro PhysiX, which makes it less sensitive to excess oil in the middle of the lane. Against a Storm Absolute Power, the Grandeur is considerably more dynamic and generates noticeably faster rev behavior from the Atomic Core, which produces a steeper entry angle into the pocket.
On the Lanes
The PhysiX Grandeur is the ideal choice for medium to heavier oil conditions where you still need length. It shines especially during the transition phase, when solid balls start to hook too early but weaker pearls still skid too far. The NeX Pearl surface offers enough chemical teeth to keep from floating in the oil, while the Atomic Core makes sure the ball comes back powerfully even from deep left-to-right angles (for right-handers). It delivers exceptional carry, driving the pins very flat through the deck and transferring energy efficiently.
