First Impressions
The Track Paradox comes in a solid Black, Red and Blue design that signals performance. At the heart of this model sits the asymmetric i-Core 2.0, which features an extremely low RG of 2.480, a massive differential of 0.057 and an intermediate differential of 0.015. The cover is the QR-9 Solid, finished at the factory with 500 and 2000 Abralon. The core design generates a huge amount of asymmetry, while the solid cover should make the ball read the heads strongly and turn over brutally in the midlane.
Comparison
Compared to the Track Paradox Pearl, the original Paradox picks up considerably earlier in the midlane and offers a much steadier, smoother change of direction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Alpha Crux, the Paradox delivers a very similar asymmetric and extremely hard-hitting motion at the end of the pattern. Once the transition sets in and the front part of the lane dries up, the solid cover of the Paradox burns up its enormous dynamics relatively quickly. It needs deep oil.
On the Lanes
The Track Paradox finds its preferred use on heavily oiled lane conditions. It is the logical choice if you need a ball on patterns with massive oil in the heads that still generates a strong hook. The extremely quick reaction helps find the pocket even on wet lanes. The ball should maximize carry through its brutal asymmetric drive. On bone-dry lanes, however, this ball is far too aggressive and extremely hard to control.
