BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The 900 Global Ordnance C4 comes with a combination of the Shrapnel 2.0 Core and the S70 Hybrid coverstock, which consists of equal parts solid and pearl components. The surface is finished with 4000 Abralon, creating a particular balance between traction and length. Technically, the ball works with a 2.48 RG and a 0.042 differential in the 15-pound ball. Compared to the original Shrapnel core, the Shrapnel 2.0 Core has a slightly higher RG along with a lower differential. The Aqua/Black color scheme gives the ball a striking look that reflects its modern technology.
Comparison
In a direct comparison with the 900 Global Aspect, the Ordnance C4 retains more energy and offers less hook, but more downlane motion. Against the original Ordnance, the C4 shows more length and a sharper move off the dry boards, while it delivers more overall hook than the Ordnance Pearl. That positioning makes it an interesting addition between the two original Ordnance versions. The manufacturer promotes it as the perfect step up from the original Ordnance and Ordnance Pearl models. The hybrid technology is meant to combine the advantages of both worlds and optimize both length and backend reaction.
On the Lanes
The Ordnance C4 is designed specifically for medium oil conditions and should establish itself as an excellent benchmark ball for all player types. The perfect balance of pearl and solid components should ensure optimal length and backend on all medium conditions. Power players in particular benefited in testing from the dull factory surface on heavier oil patterns, with the ball providing enough hook for trouble-free play. The S70 Hybrid surface should combine adequate traction in the oil with an angular reaction off the dry boards. The technical modifications should produce a unique benchmark shape that dominates medium-length patterns.
