BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Hammer Orange Vibe comes in the characteristic orange look of the Vibe series, which visually signals its membership in the legendary and affordable Vibe line. At its heart sits the proven symmetric Vibe core, wrapped in the CT Reactive Plus solid coverstock. The specs come in at a 2.51 RG and a 0.042 differential at 15 pounds, making it a balanced piece for the medium performance range. The surface is polished to 500/2000 Abralon and finished with Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish, which gives the ball its characteristic shine. The Orange Vibe was released in June 2019 and continues the tradition of the successful Vibe series.
Comparison
Compared directly to its sister ball, the Orange Vibe is more aggressive than the Hammer Blue Vibe, with a stronger backend reaction and more hook at the end of the lane. While it reacts slightly earlier on the lane than the newer Hammer Ocean Vibe, it still stores considerable energy for the pins. Compared to historic Vibe balls like the Cherry Vibe, the Orange version offers better control at medium oil volumes. The Ocean Vibe came later as a further development with a pearlized version of the CT Reactive Plus coverstock, which results in different areas of use. The solid surface of the Orange Vibe creates earlier friction compared to the pearl versions in the Vibe family.
On the Lanes
The Orange Vibe allows a step more control at medium oil volumes and stays strong off the breakpoint with good carry. The polished CT Reactive Plus solid surface should deliver easy length with a continuous backend reaction and is a perfect fit for medium to dry lanes. As a typical Vibe, it follows the proven pattern of a house shot killer and offers nearly unbeatable value for the price. On sport shots, however, it is less predictable with over/under reactions, since the surface still stays clean despite its solid properties and shows an almost skid/flip type of reaction. The ball is aimed primarily at bowlers looking for a reliable option for medium oil volumes on house shot conditions who also value affordability. At its entry-level price, it is considered an almost automatic choice for bowlers of all skill levels who need a predictable ball reaction on typical lane conditions.
