First Impressions
The Storm My-Way Pro turns heads as an international release with its bright pearl design. At its center works a proven symmetrical core with a medium RG and a solid differential. This core is wrapped in the R2S Pearl Reactive coverstock, finished with a 1500 grit polish. This combination of a moderate core and an extremely smooth shell should let the ball glide very dependably through the heads and develop a very strong, sharp roll phase on the backend.
Comparison
Compared directly to the Storm Sky Rocket, the My-Way Pro offers extremely similar ball motion through the heads and an identically more angular, sharper reaction on dried-up boards. Put up against a ball like the Storm IQ Tour Pearl, the My-Way Pro shows a somewhat sharper kick in the midlane, but generates a very similar line. Once transition sets in over the course of a block, the pearl cover tends to save energy perfectly for the breakpoint.
On the Lanes
This ball is a pure specialist for medium oil patterns. It's the perfect choice for house leagues or tournaments when the front boards start to break down. Bowlers benefit from the fact that the ball doesn't immediately overreact in the dry, but instead plays off the steady core. The core should maximize carry through a strong hit into the pocket. As soon as the lane is extremely fresh and heavily oiled, though, the My-Way Pro has to be swapped out, since it then lacks the necessary traction.
