First Impressions
The Radical Maximum Results comes as a black ball with the TS-1 Solid coverstock and DynamiCore technology. With a 2.494 RG, a 0.050 differential and a high intermediate differential of 0.030, it ranks among the most aggressive balls Radical has built. The surface is finished at the factory with 500/1500 Siaair Micro Pad, which delivers strong lane read. Brunswick's DynamiCore technology should provide a more durable outer material that shows less compression on impact, thereby improving hitting power and carry. The ball is built on a modified, stronger version of the original Results core with increased differential and lower RG.
Comparison
The Maximum Results is one of the strongest hooking balls Radical has ever produced, aimed at generating maximum hook with the typical Radical backend reaction. As the successor to the popular Radical Results, it uses one of Mo Pinel's last core designs. Compared to other high-end balls, it shows a surprisingly clean push through the heads despite its 1500 surface, then develops a continuous hook shape through the midlane and into the backend. Bowlers described it as one of their favorite balls at its release, one that clearly separates itself from its predecessor. On heavy oil it can be played slower and further left, or thrown straighter with a firmer hand.
On the Lanes
The ball is especially suited to fresh league conditions and to bowlers with lower hand speed and few revs, but also to fast players who need help reading the lane. It works its way continuously through any amount of oil on the lane and accordingly needs heavier oil conditions for optimal performance. Despite its strong surface it offers good backend continuation and was rated positively by testers on every pattern except dry conditions. The ball should suit players who need maximum hook but still value the controlled Radical characteristic. It finds its purpose on fresh league conditions, particularly for slower players with low rev rates or for those who need help reading the lane despite high ball speed.
