First Impressions
The Brunswick Mastermind Einstein stands out as a premium release in a classy Red, Blue and Silver Pearl/Hybrid look. Inside works the extremely strong asymmetric Mastermind Ultra Low RG Core with a 2.488 RG, a massive 0.052 differential and a 0.015 intermediate differential. For the surface, Brunswick relies on a highly polished Relativity Hybrid Reactive cover. This combination of the asymmetric core and the low-friction shell should let the ball clear the heads effortlessly and save all of its energy for a massive, asymmetric kick on the backend.
Comparison
In a direct comparison with the Brunswick Mastermind Brainiac, the Einstein behaves extremely similarly and, thanks to the hybrid content, offers a marginally more continuous backend motion. Against the Storm Alpha Crux, which uses a dull solid cover, the Einstein delivers far cleaner length, but builds a similarly powerful hook at the breakpoint courtesy of the strong core. When friction on the lane is high and the transition dries up the front part of the lane, it preserves its energy outstandingly well.
On the Lanes
The Brunswick Mastermind Einstein is best suited to lane conditions with medium to high oil volume. For strokers and if you throw at moderate ball speed, it offers the option of playing deep lines, since the shell saves energy while the asymmetric core provides the massive response off the friction. The enormous drive toward the pocket should deliver convincing carry. On fresh, extremely heavy oil, however, this ball can come up short on traction because of the polished finish.
