BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Storm Marvel Maxx Silver, released in September 2025 as a special international release, gives the legendary Marvel series a futuristic "Premium Silver" look. At the heart of this ball sits the technologically upgraded Centripetal A.I. Core (Amplified Inertia). While the classic Centripetal shape is known for its stability, the A.I. technology provides an optimized density distribution that keeps the RG at 2.48 and the differential at roughly 0.050 (at 15 lbs) while improving energy transfer. This modern core is wrapped in the XT Sine Pearl Reactive coverstock, polished at the factory with the "Power Edge" finish. This combination points to a ball that glides extremely cleanly through the heads and shows a very defined yet still controllable reaction at the breakpoint.
Comparison
Compared directly to the iconic Storm Marvel Pearl (with R2S Pearl), the Marvel Maxx Silver comes across as somewhat more modern and more assertive in the pin deck thanks to the XT Sine cover and the A.I. core. Where the classic Marvel Pearl can sometimes feel a bit "soft" at impact, the Silver version delivers a fuller sound and better carry thanks to the A.I. technology. Against a Storm Phaze II it is considerably longer and more angular; it works perfectly as a "step down" when the Phaze II starts to roll out too early. Compared to the Storm IQ Tour Pearl (Gold or Ruby), the Marvel Maxx Silver offers noticeably more flare and a more dynamic move into the pocket due to its higher differential.
On the Lanes
The Marvel Maxx Silver is the ideal weapon for medium oil conditions and especially for the transition phase. When the heads start drying up and stronger solids lose their punch, this ball plays to its strengths. It glides effortlessly over the burned-up front part of the lane and uses the stored energy for a powerful move on the backend. Thanks to the symmetric core, the reaction always stays predictable — no unexpected twitchiness at the breakpoint. It is an excellent fit for tournament players looking for a reliable pearl ball that still generates enough power from tighter angles to take out the corners (ten pin) with confidence.
