First Impressions
The Track Legion comes in a classic black and red solid color combination. Inside works the proven symmetric LT-2 core, which shows a 2.500 RG and a strong 0.046 differential. For the cover, Track relies on the MR-6 Hybrid Reactive coverstock, lightly scuffed out of the box with a 500 and 3000 Abralon finish. This combination of an enormously strong symmetric engine and the tacky hybrid shell should make the ball read the heads reliably and build a brutal yet still predictable motion through the midlane.
Comparison
Compared directly to the Track Tour X Solid, the Legion gets into a roll a bit later thanks to its hybrid cover and offers a more angular, stronger reaction at the breakpoint. Against a classic benchmark ball like the Storm Phaze II, the Legion delivers comparably strong traction in the midlane. Once the lane transition sets in and friction increases, this ball tends to release its energy very evenly. It maintains control on choppy boards and drives steadily toward the pin deck.
On the Lanes
The Track Legion performs at its best on lane conditions with medium to high oil volume. Because it reads the lane aggressively, it gives you the option of taking on heavier oil patterns without the ball sliding through. On strong releases the ball stores enough energy to produce a solid hit. The result is consistent carry. If friction in the midlane increases too much, however, you should switch to a weaker or polished piece.
