BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Track Latitude Pearl comes in an eye-catching Royal/Aqua color scheme and, with its mid-performance positioning, embodies a well-thought-out balance between control and reaction. The ball features the QR-8 Pearl reactive coverstock, finished at 500/1000 Siaair and polished with Crown Factory Compound. The symmetric MC2 core offers a 2.511 RG and a 0.045 differential, numbers that promise medium to high flare characteristics. DynamiCore technology should produce less compression at impact and thereby increase hitting power as well as pin carry. The release date is listed as November 2020, so the ball is already well established in the market.
Comparison
The strength and versatility of the Latitude Pearl place it perfectly between the Track Tempo and the Track Latitude Solid, making it an ideal step down from the Track Proof Pearl. The ball uses the MC2 core that was already employed in the Track Triton Elite, though with slight modifications for somewhat higher RG and differential values. Compared to more aggressive options such as the Track Strata, the Latitude Pearl offers a more controlled backend reaction, while against weaker pearl options it develops more drive through the mid boards. The QR-8 Pearl coverstock should create a longer and stronger motion than other pearl formulations from this manufacturer while supporting the proven MC2 technology to its full potential.
On the Lanes
The MC2 core has proven itself over decades and, combined with the QR-8 Pearl coverstock, produces a long and strong motion for medium lane conditions. The Latitude Pearl is not only visually appealing but also versatile, consistent in performance and effective. The ball is particularly suited to bowlers who need a reliable backend reaction on medium oil volumes without losing control. The skid/flip reaction makes it ideal for medium oil conditions, while the polished surface ensures sufficient length through the heads. For bowlers of various styles, the ball offers a good balance between length and backend hook, establishing it as a versatile all-rounder in the mid-performance category. DynamiCore technology should additionally provide improved carry and a distinctive sound at pin contact.
