The specs show a medium RG of 2.487 and a moderate differential of 0.050, which gives the ball high flare potential. The surface is finished at the factory with 500/1000/2000 SiaAir Micro Pad, providing a textured surface for good traction. The symmetric Melee core was already successful in the popular Brunswick Melee Jab and offers medium RG and differential numbers.
Comparison
Compared directly with the Storm Phaze II, the Knock Out shows very similar performance, with the Brunswick surface reacting minimally more responsively in the heads, while the midlane and backend motion turns out nearly identical. The motion is described as a "Solid Jab," which underlines the kinship with other successful Brunswick balls using the Melee core. The Knock Out series complements the Melee Jab balls perfectly, since it uses the same core with a stronger cover and finish.
