BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Swag Joker Wild comes in a striking Crimson Red/Emerald color combination and, with its USY 1 Pearl coverstock, represents a modern take on pearl reactive technology. At its heart sits the symmetrical Grinder V2 core with a 2.493 RG and a 0.051 differential at 15 pounds. The factory 4000-grit Abralon surface gives the ball its characteristic traits. With a hook rating of 15 on the 20-point scale, the ball sits in the medium to upper performance range. The combination of a symmetrical core and a pearl cover should provide additional midlane traction and more predictability over the entire length of the lane.
Comparison
Bowlers describe it as the perfect complement to the original Swag Joker, clearly setting itself apart through its pearl-specific characteristics. Where the regular Joker reaches its limits when the hook comes too early, the Wild offers a clean push through the heads and midlane with aggressive motion at the end of the lane. Compared to established pearl balls such as the Storm Phaze II, the Joker Wild shows a more controlled midlane reaction. The characteristic clean and smooth push through the heads with a hard drive through the pocket for strong pin action distinguishes it from more aggressive pearl options. Its versatility allows use on a variety of lane conditions, including sport patterns.
On the Lanes
With its 15/20 hook potential, the Joker Wild is primarily suited to medium oil conditions, though its range of use extends well beyond that. Bowlers use it as a go-to ball for a variety of situations, from tighter angles all the way to more extreme hook lines. Low-rev players in particular should benefit from its characteristics, while high-rev bowlers at 610 rpm and 19 mph also see successful results. The versatility allows both playing up the boards and down-and-in lines. In practice, its strength shows in the ability to bowl all three games with nothing more than foot and target adjustments. On longer sport patterns such as the 46-foot Petraglia pattern, it demonstrates continuous energy through the midlane with a sharp turn in the friction.
