BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The SWAG Incredible, released in December 2019, marks a powerful entry into California Bowling's high-performance class. Visually, the ball immediately stands out with its solid, bright red surface, which takes on an aggressive look thanks to the matte finish. Technically, the ball relies on the Incredible Asymmetric Core. At 15 pounds, this core delivers an RG of about 2.49 and a high differential of 0.054, rounded out by a mass bias differential of 0.020. That combination of numbers promises a quick rev-up and a strong change of direction. The core is wrapped in the Dazzler 2 Solid Reactive coverstock. The surface comes out of the box with a 2000-grit finish (Abralon), which feels very tacky to the touch and suggests that this ball is not meant to skid for long but to read the lane early. The combination of a strong asymmetric core and a tractive solid cover positions it as a primary ball for fresh oil.
Comparison
Compared directly to the Storm Physix, the SWAG Incredible shows a somewhat earlier and smoother reaction. Where the Storm Physix (as a hybrid) often still generates a bit of length and then turns very sharply, the Incredible starts working earlier in the midlane and converts that energy into a continuous, controllable arc. Compared with the Hammer Black Widow 2.0 (solid), both operate in a similar league of "big asymmetric solids." The Incredible, however, often seems to distribute its energy a little more evenly across the boards instead of releasing all of it at the breakpoint. Against its own brand sibling, the SWAG Incredible Hero (which has a pearl cover), the original Incredible is clearly stronger in the heads and less prone to over/under reactions. It gives up some backend snap for considerably more stability in oil.
On the Lanes
The SWAG Incredible is predestined for lanes with medium to high oil volume. Its ideal application is fresh house patterns or sport patterns where the heads are still intact. Because of the 2000-grit finish, the ball absolutely needs oil in the first few meters so it doesn't burn up too early (roll-out). It's the perfect choice for the start of a tournament when you want to control the pocket and minimize skid effects on the lane. If you throw the ball fast, it offers enough traction that you won't slide through the breakpoint. If you have lower ball speed, you should polish it or play it on oily lanes, since the ball could otherwise develop hook too early. Once the transition sets in and the heads dry up, you should switch to a pearl ball to maintain carry.
