First Impressions
The Radical Incognito Pearl comes in an attractive blue/chrome color combination and uses the proven asymmetric core construction of the original Incognito. With a 2.487 RG and a 0.053 differential (15-pound ball), this ball offers a solid foundation for strong hook. The S.H.A.R.P. Pearl coverstock (Strong Hooking Angular Reactive Performance) is finished with 500/1000/1500 Siaair and polished with Crown Factory Compound, which should deliver increased length and a sharper reaction. Brunswick's DynamiCore system is integrated as the outer core layer, which according to the manufacturer should provide improved pin carry and less compression at impact.
Comparison
Compared to the original Radical Incognito, the Pearl version is noticeably cleaner through the heads and stronger off the backend, and compared to the Radical Results Plus it likewise offers a sharper backend reaction. The factory prep with 1500 SiaAir and Crown Factory Compound gives this ball more length and an even more angular motion than the original Incognito. Where the Incognito reacts earlier and more continuously, the Pearl version goes longer and responds faster to friction. The pairing has been called the best complement to a solid ball since the Conspiracy Pearl, which underscores how well these two balls work together.
On the Lanes
The Incognito Pearl is designed for medium to heavy lane conditions and is meant to serve as a reliable option in difficult situations. Test reports show the best reaction on medium oil patterns, while success can also be had on every other pattern except dry lanes. At the factory finish, the ball allows you to move as far left as possible, since it always comes back even as the pattern breaks down. The core/cover combination should produce a faster and sharper reaction at the breakpoint. For power players, this ball offers the ability to get to the pocket even as conditions tighten up, while still providing enough control for precise lines. The pearl additive in the S.H.A.R.P. cover should provide more length and recovery, which makes it especially interesting if you prefer a later but explosive reaction.
