First Impressions
The 900 Global Inception comes in a striking color combination of green, black and purple. At its center works the Adaptor/D Asymmetric core, which carries a 2.480 RG, a massive 0.055 differential and a 0.024 intermediate differential. This core is wrapped in the S74R Solid coverstock, finished with a dull 4000 Abralon surface. These specs position the Inception as an extreme high-performance ball for heavy oil. In combination with the coarse cover, the strong asymmetric core should make the ball grab very early and create a massive, angular move toward the pin deck.
Comparison Compared directly to the 900 Global Drift, the Inception shows a noticeably earlier and more asymmetric reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Alpha Crux, the Inception behaves very similarly, with the extremely high intermediate differential producing an incredibly fast transition into the hook. Once the transition sets in during a block and friction on the outside boards increases, the Inception's strong solid surface quickly loses usable energy. It absolutely requires a solid oil base in the front part of the lane.
On the Lanes The 900 Global Inception was developed specifically for use on heavily oiled lane conditions. If you throw the ball fast, it lets you generate the hook needed to cross boards effectively. The pronounced asymmetric core should optimize carry through a steep entry angle into the pocket. For dry or medium conditions, however, this ball is far too strong; it burns up its energy too early and risks hitting the pins flat.
