BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The 900 Global Inception DCT was released in July 2017 and marked a technological milestone for the brand with the introduction of Density Control Technology (DCT). Visually, the ball stands out with its elegant color combination of White, Gold and Black Pearl. At its heart sits the Adaptor/D Ceramic Core. A ceramic component was integrated into this asymmetric core to radically alter the density distribution and optimize energy transfer. At 15 pounds, the core delivers a low RG of 2.48 and a high differential of 0.055. This is rounded out by a strong intermediate differential of 0.024. These numbers stand for enormous flare potential and quick rotation. The high-tech core is wrapped in the S74R Pearl Reactive coverstock, which comes with a 1500 grit polished finish out of the box. This combination of polished shell and massive core strength should ensure a clean passage through the heads and an explosive reaction at the end of the oil pattern.
Comparison Compared to the original 900 Global Inception (without DCT), which had a more solid, earlier-rolling character, the Inception DCT offers noticeably more length and a far more angular move at the breakpoint. Thanks to the ceramic component in the core, the DCT retains its rotational energy longer than conventional cores with the same asymmetry. Compared to the Storm Code Black, a direct competitor among asymmetric pearl balls, the Inception DCT reads the midlane slightly earlier but responds just as drastically to friction. While the Code Black is often considered a skid-flip monster, the Inception DCT's Adaptor/D core provides a somewhat heavier, more forceful roll phase into the pocket. Against the 900 Global Truth, which came out at the same time and is symmetric, the Inception DCT covers considerably more boards and is capable of creating steeper entry angles when the lane has to be opened up wide.
On the Lanes The ideal application for the 900 Global Inception DCT is on medium to heavy oil patterns, especially when the heads have already broken down slightly but there is still enough oil in the backend to demand a strong ball. The pearl surface helps push the ball through the heads without wasting energy. As soon as the ball hits friction, the high intermediate differential produces a quick, defined change of direction. That makes it a perfect choice if you like to play deep inside and send the ball well to the right (for right-handers) to have it come back powerfully. The ceramic technology should help maximize carry by transferring energy into the pins more efficiently at impact and minimizing deflection. It is less suited to very dry lanes or short oil patterns, where it could react too violently.
